Discipleship
More than anything else, Jesus calls us to be disciples. To this end, we strive to follow him and become more like him. Our strategy is fourfold: We Worship, Learn, Fellowship, and Serve.
Children, Students, and Adults are all called to become Disciples. While we have different programs and strategies for different ages, we believe we all are working to become more like Jesus.

We believe that worship is the primary act and response of a disciple. The Lord alone: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is due all of our worship. We worship through song, through prayer, through giving, through serving, and by continually giving our lives to God.
- We worship during worship services and through the celebration of sacraments.
- We worship God by how we live and how we love.
- We teach worship to the youngest in our family with dedicated church & worship times.
“When worship is our response to the One who alone is worthy of it – Jesus Christ – then our lives are on their way to being turned inside out. Every dimension of self-centered living becomes endangered as we come to share God’s self-giving heart. Worship exposes our cultural and even spiritual complacency toward a world of suffering and injustice. In Jesus Christ, we are called into a new kind of living. Through the grace of worship, God applies the necessary antidote to what we assume is merely human – our selfishness. Worship sets us free from ourselves to be free for God and God’s purposes in the world. The dangerous act of worshiping God in Jesus Christ necessarily draws us into the heart of God and sends us out to embody it…”
(Labberton, Mark, The Dangerous Act of Worship, IVP Books, Downers Grove, Illinois: pg 14.)
And so when worship we come expectantly: knowing that God may show up and change us into more of who he’s made us to be!

We believe that a disciple is a lifelong learner. We study the Bible in order to learn more about who God is and who we are as we strive to become more like Jesus. We believe that there are still many who don’t know about the love of Jesus, but even within the Christian community there seems to be a growing epidemic of shallow Christianity. And so we strive to dig deeper into our faith so that we will be well equipped for life and faith.
Our learning ministries have the following rhythm:
- We learn in Growth Groups during the fall and spring
- We learn in Lectures and Special Classes during the summer and winter
- We learn through Bible Classes on Sundays and throughout the week all year long

We believe that we can best grow as disciples if we grow together. To this end we share our lives together. We celebrate, mourn, laugh and cry together. We believe that we look the most like the community that Jesus is calling us to be when we’re in authentic community together.
What’s more, we want you to be able to experience this community on a Sunday Morning. Our hope is that our church becomes a home away from home for you. We want to be a place where, “everyone knows your name, and they’re always glad you came.”

We believe that Jesus sent us out to be his Body in the world, and that takes expression as we serve others. We believe that as we experience more of Jesus in our lives we can’t help but roll up our sleeves and get involved in our world, partnering with him to make it more and more his kingdom. We grow as we serve and we grow together as we serve. Therefore we try and always have opportunities to use our gifts and abilities to serve both inside and outside of the church.
Outside The Church
We are a church that loves to serve. We try and find ways to serve at least each month and extend that to mission trips every other year. We believe that we really can make a difference here in North East Tarrant County and beyond.
Inside The Church
We are a church that loves to serve. We try and find ways to serve in our church as we care for our community together. This is one of the ways we grow in fellowship and faith.
